"It's been jump and drive for years..."

That saying couldn't be more true as Michael Hesson travelled across the country on many occasions playing with various bands along the way. It was in San Diego, CA where Hesson first started strumming away on his acoustic throughout both Southern and Northern California. After moving to New England, Hesson joined up with Boston based Alternative/Instrumental band Siphon the Sea, but the road kept calling and he found himself at "exit 0" of the Garden State, where he once again started to bang it out on the acoustic.  There are many different styles nestled behind the rhythms and sounds of Hesson's playing. At times you can catch the influences of Social Distortion and The Clash, to the more intricate styling of King Crimson and Don Caballero. Whether he's strumming out fast paced chords or utilizing the body of the guitar as a cajon, Michael Hesson continues to reach for the sounds between conventional acoustic playing and that only grasped by full bands.
